The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) will organize a two-day 'Chintan Shivir' on 14th and 15th November 2024 at ITC, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The primary focus of the event will be to brainstorm strategies to achieve the goal of 500 GW renewable energy capacity by 2030 and progress toward the next target of 1800 GW by 2047.
The event will be inaugurated by Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy, Shri Pralhad Joshi, at 9:00 AM on 14th November. The Chief Minister of Odisha, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi; Union Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy, Shri Shripad Yesso Naik; Energy Minister of Odisha, Shri Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo; and Secretary MNRE, Shri Prashant Kumar Singh, will also address the gathering.
Purpose of the 'Chintan Shivir':
The aim of the 'Chintan Shivir' is to bring together key policymakers, financial institutions, industry leaders, CEOs, and senior officials from both Central and State Governments involved in India’s renewable energy journey. Through various thematic sessions, participants will brainstorm on critical and emerging issues in the renewable energy sector.
