The MoU was signed by Shri Amit Nirmal, Deputy Director General (Employment), Ministry of Labour & Employment, and Shri Jaideep Kewalramani, COO and Head of Employability Business at TeamLease EdTech. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to broadening job opportunities for National Career Service (NCS) registered job seekers.
This collaboration with TeamLease EdTech aims to enhance employment prospects for job seekers registered on NCS. Through this MoU, TeamLease EdTech will share over 15,000 job openings daily with the NCS portal, facilitating a direct connection between job seekers and job opportunities. Additionally, work-integrated degree programs will be introduced, allowing young professionals to gain practical experience along with their education, thereby enhancing employability and career readiness.
The MoU, initially for a period of two years, outlines that TeamLease EdTech and its associated agencies will post job openings and conduct hiring drives on the NCS portal. Moreover, Career Lounges will be set up within selected Model Career Centers (MCCs), staffed by dedicated counselors to guide job seekers on career choices and skill programs. TeamLease's Digivarsity skill programs will also be made available on the NCS portal, providing skill development opportunities for job seekers. The goal is to establish two Career Lounges by the end of December 2024.
The National Career Service (NCS) portal, operational since July 2015, has revolutionized the employment landscape. Managed by the Ministry of Labour & Employment, the portal offers a range of services, including job search, career counseling, vocational guidance, and skill development resources, serving millions of users, including job seekers, employers, and educational institutions.
Record-breaking Milestones on the NCS Portal: This year, the NCS portal surpassed 2 million active vacancies in a single day, with 1.5 to 2 million job opportunities regularly available. During the current financial year, the NCS portal has posted over 10 million job vacancies.
