Uttar Pradesh, March 23, 2024: With 50 percent of the wheat crop already harvested across the country, it is expected that the entire harvest will be completed by April. The wheat season will continue from April to June, with mandis playing a crucial role during this period.
Firozabad mandi, Uttar Pradesh, the highest rates were observed for the Dara variety of wheat. Presently, the maximum price for wheat in this mandi stands at Rs. 2700 per quintal, with the minimum price at Rs. 2650 per quintal. Similarly, in Agra mandi, the Dara variety of wheat is fetching a maximum price of Rs. 2680 per quintal, with the minimum price at Rs. 2540 per quintal. The arrival of wheat in Agra mandi stood at 305 tons. Furthermore, in Prayagraj mandi, the Dara variety of wheat is being traded at a maximum price of Rs. 2650 per quintal and a minimum price of Rs. 2400 per quintal. The arrival of wheat price in Prayagraj mandi was recorded at 600 tons.
Most Wheat Arrivals in Lalitpur Mandi on March 23rd: Among these mandis, Lalitpur mandi witnessed the highest arrival of wheat, with 1800 tons. Here, the maximum price for wheat stands at Rs. 2500 per quintal, with the minimum price at Rs. 2400 per quintal Additionally, in Ghaziabad mandi, there was an arrival of 1110 tons of wheat. The maximum price observed here is Rs. 2570 per quintal, with the minimum at Rs. 2550 per quintal. Moreover, fluctuations in wheat prices are being observed in Uttar Pradesh compared to Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Rajasthan. It is anticipated that post-Holi, there will be a surge in arrivals in Uttar Pradesh mandis starting from April. Farmers and traders are closely monitoring the market trends as they prepare for the upcoming wheat arrivals in the state mandis.
