Delhi Weather Update

After continuous heavy rainfall over the past two days, Madhya Pradesh is witnessing a temporary halt in the downpour. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), several cities, including Bhopal, Indore weather, Dewas, Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore, Narmadapuram, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ashoknagar, Guna, Betul, Rajgarh, Harda, Khargone, Dhar, Barwani, Jhabua, Shajapur, Shivpuri, and Datia, may still experience rain on September 14.

Above-Average Rainfall Recorded in Madhya Pradesh:

This monsoon season, Madhya Pradesh has received above-average rainfall. The state has recorded nearly 1027.2 mm of rain so far, which is 17% higher than the normal average. Additionally, over 90% of water levels in around 200 dams across the state have been filled. While the rain has paused for now, the forecast indicates that the monsoon will become active again from September 16, bringing heavy rainfall back to the state.

Delhi Weather Update:

Delhi, the heavy rains over the past two days have caused a sudden drop in temperatures, giving residents a feeling of early winter. The temperature has decreased by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius, creating pleasant weather. However, some areas of the NCR region will still experience mild conditions. The overnight rainfall has left significant moisture in the air, leading to cloudy skies in the capital and its surrounding regions.

On Saturday, September 14, Delhi is expected to see light to moderate rain, with maximum and minimum temperatures hovering around 32°C and 21°C, respectively. The IMD predicts that cloud cover will persist in Delhi and NCR until September 17, although rainfall will gradually decrease.

Heavy Rainfall Likely in Other States:

According to the IMD forecast, heavy rainfall is expected on Saturday in Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Northwestern Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Light to moderate rain, with occasional heavy downpours, is also expected in Himachal Pradesh and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Additionally, states such as Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Chhattisgarh are forecast to receive heavy rainfall in some areas today.
