The Western Himalayan Region is expected to experience widespread light to moderate rainfall/snowfall with thunderstorms and lightning on February 20th and 21st, 2024. Heavy rainfall/snowfall is likely in isolated areas of Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh on February 20th. Hailstorm activity is predicted in isolated places across Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Haryana-Chandigarh on the same day.
Furthermore, isolated to scattered light/moderate rainfall is anticipated over Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, and West Uttar Pradesh on February 20th and 21st, with similar conditions expected in East Uttar Pradesh during February 20th-22nd. Additionally, isolated thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds are forecasted in various regions from February 20th to 22nd.
Northeast India is likely to witness widespread light/moderate rainfall/snowfall with thunderstorms and lightning from February 20th to 23rd. Isolated heavy rainfall/snowfall is expected over Arunachal Pradesh on February 21st and 22nd, as well as over Assam & Meghalaya on February 22nd and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura on February 22nd and 23rd. Isolated thunderstorms and lightning with gusty winds are also predicted in certain areas on February 21st, particularly in Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura.
