Heavy to very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy falls occurred at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim. Very heavy rainfall was reported in isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya, Gujarat region, East Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Bihar, and Coastal Karnataka. Heavy rainfall occurred at isolated places in Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, West Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch, Uttar Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Telangana, Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal.
The monsoon trough is near its normal position. A cyclonic circulation is over southwest Uttar Pradesh extending up to mid-tropospheric levels, and a trough runs from southwest Uttar Pradesh to a cyclonic circulation over northeast Assam in lower tropospheric levels. Another trough runs from the cyclonic circulation over southwest Uttar Pradesh to northeast Arabian Sea in mid-tropospheric levels. There is moisture convergence over central and adjoining northwest India from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal.
Fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is expected over Northwest and Central India for the next 5 days. Heavy rainfall at isolated places is likely over: Himachal Pradesh on July 7, Uttarakhand from July 8 to 10, Punjab on July 7, East Uttar Pradesh on July 8 and 10, East Rajasthan on July 7 and 10, East Madhya Pradesh from July 6 to 10, West Madhya Pradesh from July 7 to 10, Vidarbha on July 8 and 9, Chhattisgarh from July 7 to 9.

Over the next 5 days, East and Northeast India are expected to experience widespread light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning. Heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, and Bihar from July 7 to 10; Odisha on July 6 and 8; Arunachal Pradesh on July 7; Assam and Meghalaya on July 7 and 8; and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura from July 6 to 10. Very heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places in Odisha on July 7; Arunachal Pradesh on July 6, 8, 9, and 10; and Assam and Meghalaya on July 6, 9, and 10.
Over the next 5 days, widespread to fairly widespread moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is likely over Northwest and Central India. A cyclonic circulation is present over the west-central Bay of Bengal off the south Andhra Pradesh coast at mid-tropospheric levels. An offshore trough is running along the South Gujarat-Kerala coasts at mean sea level.
Widespread to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is expected over Kerala and Mahe, Lakshadweep, Coastal Karnataka, Konkan and Goa, and the Gujarat region over the next 5 days. Scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall is likely over Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Saurashtra and Kutch, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Telangana, and Interior Karnataka. Isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall is likely over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, and Rayalaseema during the next 5 days.
