The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather alert, predicting heavy to very heavy rainfall in several states over the next seven days. Here are the latest updates for the affected states:

Jharkhand:  Most areas are expected to experience light to moderate rainfall, with heavy rainfall likely at isolated places on August 4th.

Bihar:  Light to moderate rainfall is forecasted for most regions. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places on August 6th, with heavy rainfall also likely on August 4th and 5th.

Madhya Pradesh:  Light to moderate rainfall across most of areas. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated spots on August 5th, with extremely heavy rainfall expected at isolated locations on August 4th.

East Uttar Pradesh:  Many places will see light to moderate rainfall. Southeast Uttar Pradesh is likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places, with extremely heavy rainfall expected at isolated locations on August 4th.

West Uttar Pradesh:  Light to moderate rainfall is expected in many places, with isolated heavy showers anticipated on August 4th.

East Rajasthan:  Most areas are set to receive light to moderate rainfall. Heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places from August 4th to 6th, with extremely heavy rainfall expected on August 4th.

West Rajasthan:  Light to moderate rainfall is forecasted for most regions. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected at isolated locations on August 5th and 6th, with heavy showers predicted at isolated spots on August 4th.

Gujarat:  Most areas are likely to experience light to moderate rainfall, with heavy to very heavy rainfall expected at isolated locations on August 4th and 5th.

West Bengal:  In Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, light to moderate rainfall is expected at most places. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated locations from August 4th to 6th.
