The state government of Uttar Pradesh is taking progressive steps for the advancement of farmers. Apart from providing subsidies, various other forms of assistance are being extended to farmers. Various schemes are being implemented for them.

During the announcement, the Agriculture Minister mentioned that technology is being extensively utilized in the agricultural sector at present. In this regard, a digital survey of all crops is being conducted. Under the AgriStack scheme, the e-Khasra inquiry (e-Krishi Patan) center is a transformative project by the central government. Its objective is to create a digital format for the agricultural statistical system in India. It has been informed that the central government has successfully completed a pilot phase in 10 states under the Kharif 2023 program. Among these states, Uttar Pradesh has demonstrated the best performance. The central government is preparing to hand over the complete technology to the state government for the management of the AgriStack scheme.

The digital crop survey was implemented in its full form in 21 districts as part of the pilot scheme and in 10 revenue villages of 54 districts. The initiative ensured e-Khasra land record inquiries were conducted through the developed mobile app by the central government in 100% of the villages in 21 districts and 10 revenue villages each in the remaining 54 districts. The survey covered a total of 1,15,89,645 plots during Kharif 2023. The districts involved in the initiative include Bhadohi, Sant Kabir Nagar, Auraiya, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Sultanpur, Varanasi, Jaunpur, Pratapgarh, Mirzapur, Muradabad, Jalaun, Chitrakoot, Farrukhabad, Ayodhya, Chaudhary, Jhansi, Basti, Hardoi, Deoria, and Gorakhpur. A survey is underway in all districts.

Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi stated that the task of 100% crop survey through mobile apps using e-Khasra land records has been ensured in all districts of the state for the Rabi season 2023-24. E-Khasra Mobile App: Survey work is commencing today in all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh and is expected to be completed by February 15. In this task, all lekhpals (revenue officers), technical assistants of the agriculture department, BTMs, ATMs, and Panchayat assistants are being deployed as surveyors in the Revenue Department. They will be assisting in this work. According to officials, the use of this app will make the crop survey work easier. Accurate information about crop coverage will be obtained. Planning for schemes aimed at the micro-level, such as accurate planning for the targeted area, can be achieved in the agricultural sector. Effective implementation of the Crop Cutting Experiment (CCE) can also be carried out through the mobile app. The benefits of various government schemes can be obtained without repeated verification. Accurate information about agricultural products for industries based on agriculture can be obtained in a timely manner. Through this app, farmers will have the opportunity to connect with institutional marketing.
