As India witnesses varying weather today conditions across different regions, with the onset of May, several parts of northern India continue to experience heatwaves. However, a fresh western disturbance is set to impact the country from May 3rd, particularly affecting northern regions.
During this period, the meteorological department predicts the possibility of rainfall with thunder and lightning in parts of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana including Chandigarh and Delhi-NCR from May 4th to 6th, 2024. 

Delhi Weather Forecast:

Delhi is expected to witness scattered light rainfall and lightning on May 4th and 7th, as per the weather department forecast. 

Uttar Pradesh Weather Forecast: Uttar Pradesh, areas like Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Bareilly, Prayagraj, and Agra may experience scattered light rainfall from May 4th to 6th.

Rajasthan Weather Forecast: Rajasthan, cities such as Udaipur, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Kota, Bhilwara, and Dholpur are likely to witness light rainfall and lightning on May 4th. Meanwhile, clouds are expected to hover over Jaipur, Ajmer, Chittorgarh, and other districts after rainfall.

Punjab Weather Forecast: Punjab is anticipated to receive light rainfall and lightning in cities like Amritsar, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Bhatinda, and Patiala from May 4th to 5th.

Haryana and Chandigarh Weather Forecast: Haryana and Chandigarh may also experience light rainfall and lightning in cities such as Faridabad, Gurugram, Ambala, and Sonipat from May 4th to 5th.

The anticipated rainfall brings a respite from the scorching heat and will be beneficial for agricultural activities in these regions.
