Today’s Forecast 26 March The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast for today, March 26, indicating thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds in various regions across the country. According to the IMD, thunderstorms are very likely at isolated places over Gangetic West Bengal, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura. Additionally, thunderstorms with lightning are expected at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh.
Heavy rainfall/snowfall is foreseen in specific locales across Arunachal Pradesh, while significant precipitation is anticipated over Assam & Meghalaya.

Tomorrow Forecast 27 March:

Looking ahead to tomorrow, March 27, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are forecasted at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim.

Maximum temperature forecast for next 5 days: Over the past 24 hours, the IMD reported rainfall/snowfall at isolated places over Sikkim. Rainfall distribution during the same period was observed at isolated places over Assam & Meghalaya, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana.
In terms of temperature, yesterday saw maximum temperatures ranging between 36-40°C over many parts of peninsular India and Gujarat, as well as some parts of south Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. These temperatures were above normal by 1-3°C. Over the remaining parts of the plains of India, maximum temperatures ranged from 32-36°C, also above normal by 1-3°C.
The IMD anticipates a surge in maximum temperatures by 2-3°C across Northwest India over the following 48 hours, with no notable alteration anticipated thereafter. Moreover, a gradual ascent in maximum temperatures by 2-4°C is forecasted for East & Central India as well as interior Maharashtra in the subsequent 4-5 days.

Weather in past 24 hours: Over the past 24 hours, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) reported rainfall/snowfall at isolated places over Sikkim. Additionally, rainfall distribution during the same period was observed at isolated places over Assam & Meghalaya, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana.
