Farmers in Rajasthan, please take note. The disbursement of the 15th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme may be delayed for farmers in the state who have not completed the E-KYC (Know Your Customer) process. Despite multiple extensions of the deadline for completing E-KYC, these farmers have not shown interest, which could pose difficulties for them. According to the information, there are 12,74,972 such farmers in the state and 39,238 in the Sikar district.
Officials say that these are the farmers who are not meeting the eligibility criteria under the scheme. The department has sent the list of these farmers to banks and tehsil (administrative divisions) levels. However, there has been no response from them. To avoid being within the eligibility criteria and to avoid repaying the amount from the PM-Kisan scheme, these farmers are intentionally avoiding getting E-KYC done. In this situation, the department's intention is to remove the names of these ineligible farmers from the scheme.
