This initiative is applicable to farmers in all districts of Uttar Pradesh. The government has selected some companies to provide free seeds to farmers, and these companies are distributing seeds through camps outside government offices in districts.
Farmers also need to do this work: According to officials, the government will provide free seeds for vegetables only to needy farmers. Farmers who want to avail themselves of free seeds need to prepare an affidavit. In this affidavit, farmers must clearly state that they are unable to purchase seeds. Along with this affidavit, they need to submit an application regarding this matter. After this process, approval will be granted to the farmer by the Horticulture Department, and the application will be sent to the company. The company will distribute the seeds by setting up camps at the Horticulture offices.
