Today, the mercury in Delhi is expected to be over 40 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature may hover around 23 degrees Celsius. Throughout the week, Delhiites can expect the maximum temperature to hover between 38 and 40 degrees Celsius, or possibly higher, and the minimum temperature to hover between 22 and 25 degrees Celsius. Moreover, the Air Quality Index (AQI) level for New Delhi today stands at an alarming 302, indicating very severe air pollution.
The air quality in several major cities in India is currently at severe levels. On April 29th, the AQI levels of notable cities were as follows: Bihar's Patna topped the list with a severe AQI level of 304. The AQI was recorded at 290 in Faridabad, 236 in Noida, 218 in Ghaziabad, 208 in Gurugram, 204 in Varanasi, and 192 in Cuttack.
