MP Weather Today: Monsoon Weakens, Heavy Rainfall Expected to Pause This Week

After continuous heavy rainfall, the weather in Madhya Pradesh is beginning to change. The monsoon system has weakened, and the chances of heavy rain have diminished over the past few days. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the spell of heavy rain will take a break for the next week. However, thunderstorms and intermittent rain will persist across the state. There is also a forecasted increase in lightning strikes.

Lightning Alert:

The IMD has issued a warning for the month of Sawan, urging people to stay safe during lightning storms. Light rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds are expected in several districts, including Bhopal weather, Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Bhind, Morena, Sidhi, Shahdol, Anuppur, Umaria, Mandla, and Balaghat.

On Monday, many districts experienced sporadic rainfall, offering a brief respite to residents and allowing daily activities to resume. Rainfall measurements from Monday showed Indore received 16.4 mm, Mandla 12 mm, Chhindwara 8 mm, Bhopal 5 mm, Damoh 1 mm, Sagar 0.8 mm, Umaria 2 mm, Dhar 1 mm, Guna 0.4 mm, Gwalior 2 mm, Ratlam 3 mm, and Ujjain 1 mm.

Bhopal Weather Forecast: Today, Bhopal is expected to see intermittent rain with thunderstorms. Some areas might also experience strong winds. The maximum temperature will be around 29°C, while the minimum will be about 25°C.
