Severe Cyclonic Storm "MICHAUNG" (pronounced as MIGJAUM) is currently positioned over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal off the south Andhra Pradesh coast. Here are the key points and warnings associated with the cyclone:

Current Position and Movement: Located at Latitude 15.2°N and Longitude 80.25°E, approximately 40 km northeast of Kavali. Moving north-northwestwards, nearly parallel to the south Andhra Pradesh coast.

Expected Landfall:  Anticipated to cross south Andhra Pradesh coast close to Bapatla within the next 4 hours as a Severe Cyclonic Storm. Maximum sustained wind speed predicted at 90-100 kmph, gusting up to 110 kmph.

Weather Warnings:

Rainfall Warning: Coastal Andhra Pradesh: Expect light to moderate rainfall, with heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places and extremely heavy falls at isolated areas. Telangana, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Rayalaseema, North Coastal Tamil Nadu & Puducherry: Various levels of rainfall predicted, including isolated heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in specific regions.

Wind Warning: Gale wind speeds of 90-100 kmph, gusting to 110 kmph, expected over west central Bay of Bengal and south Andhra Pradesh coast. Squally wind conditions along and off north Andhra Pradesh and Odisha coasts.

Sea Conditions: Very rough to rough sea conditions off north Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coasts and southwest Bay of Bengal. High to very high sea conditions prevailing over westcentral Bay of Bengal and south Andhra Pradesh coast.

Fishermen Warning: Fishermen advised to avoid venturing into the southwest Bay of Bengal and along & off north Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coasts until noon on 5th December.
