Farmers' Maha Kumbh is scheduled to take place in Murena from October 20th to 22nd.  The aim of this event is to increase farmers' income through bumper crop production. During the Maha Kumbh, around 15,000 farmers from various districts will be called and provided training on several agricultural topics. Additionally, on the second and third days of the event, 10,000 farmers will receive training.

Here is the schedule for the first day:

  1. Before lunch, Dr. Rajpal Singh Tomar, the chief scientist of the Agricultural Science Center, will guide farmers on the importance of organic farming and its relevance in the current scenario.
  2. In the second session, Dr. Pankaj Sharma, an agricultural scientist from Bharatpur, will provide information about high-yielding mustard varieties.
  3. In the afternoon session of Class 1, Dr. Vinod Sharma will provide tips on increasing milk production, processing, and marketing for farmers involved in animal husbandry.
  4. Class 2 will focus on informing farmers dependent on fields about the use of drone spraying for nano urea and advanced agricultural machinery. Agriculture engineer Akhilesh Solanki will provide this information.
  5. In Class 3, experts from the Potato Research Center, Dr. Subhash Katara and Narendra Tomar, will provide information about potato cultivation related to contract farming in the Ambah-Porsa region.

The schedule for the second day:

  1. On October 21st, Rakesh Kori, who is coming from the Agricultural Insurance Corporation in New Delhi, will provide information to 10,000 farmers about crop insurance schemes, farmer credit cards, and banking facilities.
  2. In the second session, experts from the Agricultural University Gwalior, Dr. E.K. Trivedi and Dr. Shashi Yadav, will provide information on soil testing, sample collection, and soil health card.
  3. After lunch, in Class 1, Dr. Pramod Sharma will guide livestock owners on breed improvement, disease identification, prevention, and lumpy skin disease.
  4. Class 2 will be conducted by agricultural scientist Dr. Ashok Yadav, who will provide guidance on crop diversification and integrated pest management.
  5. In Class 3, Dr. V.P. Jaura, a leading scientist from Gwalior, will provide tips to farmers in the region on increasing guava production.

The schedule for the third day:

  1. On the third day, October 22nd, agricultural scientists Dr. R.K. Pandey and Dr. Rita Mishra will provide business tips to farmers from five districts on increasing pearl millet production and making biscuits and porridge from pearl millet.
  2. The second session will involve experts from the relevant departments of agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, and fisheries sharing their experiences related to agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, and fish farming.
