Adding a dynamic twist, light to moderate rainfall is forecasted in isolated to some places across Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, West Bengal & Sikkim, and Northeast India on the 18th. Subsequent days predict light rainfall in isolated places over Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, with the rest of the country likely to experience mainly dry weather.

Cold Wave Alert:

Foggy Nights Extend to Isolated Pockets in Northern Regions Anticipate dense to very dense fog in the late night and morning hours across Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh from the 18th to the 20th, extending to isolated pockets until the 22nd. Similarly, West Uttar Pradesh is slated to witness foggy conditions over the next four days. In the coming days, Cold Day to Severe Cold Day conditions are expected in parts of Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh from the 18th to the 19th and Cold Day conditions from the 20th to the 22nd. West Uttar Pradesh will also experience Cold Day to Severe Cold Day conditions on the 18th and Cold Day in isolated pockets from the 19th to the 22nd. Isolated pockets of northwest Madhya Pradesh will witness Cold Day conditions on the 18th and 19th, while Bihar and Rajasthan will experience them from the 18th to the 22nd and on the 18th, respectively.

Severe cold days Conditions in North India:

The weather is noticeably colder, ranging from 2-5°C in some areas and 6-10°C in others. Northern India is experiencing a significant drop in temperatures, with chilly weather prevailing in Punjab, parts of Haryana-Chandigarh, and regions like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, north Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and north Chhattisgarh. The cold wave has set in, and Amritsar in Punjab recorded a particularly chilly minimum temperature of 2.0°C.
