The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted significant rainfall in several areas of Gujarat and Rajasthan from July 6th to July 12th. Here’s the latest weather update for these states.
Gujarat Weather Forecast: Gujarat is experiencing a strong monsoon season, with continuous rain expected over the coming days. This weather pattern is attributed to an active cyclonic circulation and a trough near the state’s border. These conditions are likely to bring moderate to heavy rainfall across various regions. According to the IMD, this rainy spell is expected to last until July 12th.
Ahmedabad, the renowned Jagannath Rath Yatra will take place on July 7th, and moderate rainfall is predicted for that day, which could affect the event. Other cities in Gujarat, including Gandhinagar, Surat, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Daman, Dahod, Bhuj, Amreli, and Vadodara, are also expected to experience continuous rain during this period.
Rajasthan, India’s largest state, is also experiencing significant rainfall as the monsoon has spread across most regions. Most areas have already been drenched, but some districts have seen only light showers, causing discomfort due to humidity. Cities like Jaipur, Udaipur, Ajmer, Chittorgarh, Ratangarh, Dholpur, Kota, Bhilwara, and Alwar are forecasted to have continuous rain and overcast skies throughout the week.
However, certain districts such as Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bikaner, Jalore, and Jodhpur have not received significant rain yet, resulting in persistent humid conditions. The IMD continues to monitor these regions and provide updates.
