The monsoon is advancing rapidly across the country. While some states have already experienced its onset, others are now beginning to see pre-monsoon activities. Currently, many regions, including southwestern India, are witnessing significant rainfall. On June 26, the Meteorological Department has forecasted rain and thunderstorms in more than 22 districts of Madhya Pradesh weather, including Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur, Sagar, Raisen, Vidisha, Sehore, Narmadapuram (Hoshangabad), Narsinghpur, Khandwa, Ratlam, Bina, Chhindwara, Balaghat, Seoni, Guna, Gwalior, and Tikamgarh. The monsoon season seems to be fully setting in across Madhya Pradesh.

  1. Bhopal: The capital city of Madhya Pradesh is expected to have overcast skies with potential rain and strong winds. The maximum temperature is forecasted to be around 34°C, with a minimum of 26°C, leading to a slightly humid day.
  2. Indore: Indore might experience light rain today, though there will be intervals of clear skies. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 35°C, while the minimum could be around 25°C.
  3. Gwalior: The IMD has predicted light rain and strong winds in Gwalior today, with a humid and warm day expected. Temperatures may peak at 41°C, with a low of 28°C.
  4. Jabalpur: The city will likely have cloudy skies with chances of rain and thunderstorms. The maximum temperature might be around 38°C, and the minimum could be 28°C.

Monsoon Progression in the Next 3 Days: According to the IMD’s forecast, monsoon conditions are expected to advance across northern to southern India from today. The southwest monsoon is likely to move over the northern Arabian Sea, parts of Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Bihar within the next three days, making these regions conducive for monsoon activities.
