Today Weather in Northwest India:

  • Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Rajasthan: Light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is expected.
  • Uttar Pradesh: Light to moderate rainfall is likely.
  • Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi: Scattered light rainfall is expected throughout the week.

Weather Update for Delhi: According to the IMD, the capital city Delhi will experience cloudy skies today, August 5, with light rain and strong surface winds accompanied by thunderstorms. Following the heavy rainfall, the weather has stabilized somewhat, but moderate to heavy rain is expected from August 6 to 8. Recently, there has been a slight dip in temperature, but after a few days of light showers, the temperature has returned to its normal range. Today, the maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to be around 35°C, while the minimum may drop to 26°C. A further dip in temperature is anticipated from weather tomorrow.

  • West Rajasthan: Isolated very heavy rainfall is likely on August 5-6 and again on August 9-10.
  • East Rajasthan: Heavy rainfall is expected on August 5 and from August 7 to 10.
  • Uttarakhand: Isolated very heavy rainfall is expected on August 6 and 7.
  • Jammu & Kashmir: Heavy rainfall is likely from August 5 to 7.
  • Himachal Pradesh: Heavy rainfall is forecasted from August 5 to 10.
  • Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi: Heavy rainfall is expected on August 7 and 8.
  • Uttarakhand: Additional heavy rainfall is anticipated on August 5 and from August 8 to 10.
  • West Uttar Pradesh: Heavy rainfall is likely from August 6 to 10.
  • East Uttar Pradesh: Heavy rainfall is expected from August 5 to 10.
