The primary objective of the Prime Minister Vishwakarma Scheme is to enhance the employment of traditional artisans and craftsmen by providing them with economic assistance. This scheme is being implemented by Prime Minister Ji and is referred to as the PM Vishwakarma Scheme.

Benefits of the Prime Minister Vishwakarma Scheme 2024:

1. Recognition: After completing the training program, participants will receive a certificate ID card.
2. Skill Training: Interested candidates can enroll for advanced training for 5-7 days, receiving a daily stipend of 500 rupees during the training period.
3. Amount for Toolkit: After training, beneficiaries will receive a sum of 15,000 rupees to purchase toolkits and start their work.
4. Loan Assistance: Initially, 1 lakh rupees will be provided in installments for employment, which can be repaid within 18 months. Upon repayment, a second loan of 2 lakh rupees can be obtained, with a repayment period of 30 months.
5. Interest Incentive: Beneficiaries will avail a 5% interest rate, economically empowering them.
