Positive changes seen in the last decade under the Government of India, acceleration in empowerment of the nation

When the government, under the visionary and dynamic leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, assumed office in 2014, the country was facing enormous challenges. With the mantra of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas" (Together with All, Development for All), the government overcame these challenges effectively. Over the past ten years, development programs have reached every household and individual through initiatives like housing for all, water for every home, electricity for all, cooking gas for all, and financial services for all. Concerns about food have been eliminated through free ration distribution for 800 million people. The minimum support prices for the produce of farmers (Annadata) have been appropriately increased periodically. The government is working towards making India a developed nation by 2047.

Over the last decade, with the pursuit of "Sabka Saath," the government has helped 250 million people escape multidimensional poverty. Nearly 10 million women have been supported to become "Lakhpati Didi" (millionaire sisters). Following the successful adoption of Nano Urea, the application of Nano DAP on various crops will be expanded across all agro-climatic zones. The government's efforts are now synergizing with the energy and passion of these empowered individuals, truly lifting them out of poverty.

Benefits of Government Schemes:

The Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) using PM-Jan Dhan accounts has led to savings of INR 2.7 lakh crore for the government. Under the PM-SVANidhi scheme, the government has provided credit assistance to 7.8 million street vendors, with 230,000 receiving credit for the third time. The PM-JANMAN scheme reaches out to particularly vulnerable tribal groups, and the PM-Vishwakarma Yojana provides end-to-end support to artisans and craftspeople engaged in 18 trades.

Every year, under the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, direct financial assistance is provided to 118 million farmers, including small and marginal farmers. Crop insurance is provided to 40 million farmers under the PM Fasal Bima Yojana. The Electronic National Agriculture Market has integrated 1,361 mandis, providing services to 18 million farmers with a trading volume of INR 3 lakh crore. PM Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) are delivering quality education and nurturing holistic individuals.

Employment Provided Under Various Schemes and Government Assistance:

• PM Mudra Yojana: The PM Mudra Yojana has sanctioned 430 million loans totaling ₹22.5 lakh crore to support the entrepreneurial aspirations of the youth. Additionally, the Fund of Funds, Startup India, and Startup Credit Guarantee schemes are assisting our youth.
• Empowerment of Women: Significant progress has been made in empowering women through entrepreneurship, ease of living, and dignity. Thirty million Mudra Yojana loans have benefited women entrepreneurs. 
• Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Grameen): Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19, the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Grameen) continued. Under this housing scheme, more than 70% of the houses in rural areas have been allotted to women as sole or joint owners, enhancing their dignity.
• Rooftop Solarization and Free Electricity: Through rooftop solarization, one crore households will be enabled to obtain up to 300 units of free electricity every month.
• Ayushman Bharat Yojana: Health care coverage under the Ayushman Bharat scheme will be extended to all ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, and helpers. Efforts to enhance value addition in the agricultural sector and boost farmers’ incomes will be intensified. The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana has benefited 3.8 million farmers and generated one million jobs.
• Dairy Development: A comprehensive program will be formulated to support dairy farmers. India is the world's largest milk producer but has low productivity of milch animals. This program will build on the success of existing schemes like the National Gokul Mission, the National Livestock Mission, and the Infrastructure Development Fund for dairy processing and animal husbandry.
• Matsya Sampada: The government established a separate department for fisheries to support fishermen, resulting in increased inland and aquaculture production.
