The Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Yojana) has emerged as a beneficial initiative in fostering prosperity and empowerment among the country's farmers. The advantages of this scheme are reaching millions of eligible farmers, and they are now anticipating the disbursement of its 16th installment, expected to be completed by the end of February. However, to access this installment, farmers must fulfill a crucial task by January 31. Specifically, farmers are required to complete the e-KYC (Know Your Customer) process by this deadline.
For the PM Kisan Yojana, the central government has mandated the e-KYC process. The deadline for completing e-KYC is January 31, giving farmers only one day to meet this requirement. They can fulfill the e-KYC process either online or by visiting the Customer Service Center near their residence. Agricultural officials stress that farmers failing to complete the online e-KYC process will not receive payment for the 16th installment.
The central government initiated the PM Kisan Yojana in 2019 to benefit farmers. The primary objective of this scheme is to enhance the income of marginal and economically weaker farmers. Under the scheme, an annual sum of Rs 6,000 is deposited into the bank accounts of farmers. This amount is disbursed in three installments of Rs 2,000 each. The 15th installment of PM Kisan has already been released. PM Modi released the 15th installment on November 15 last year, benefiting more than 8 crore farmers.
Procedure for e-KYC:
To complete e-KYC, follow these steps:
1. Visit the official website pmkisan.gov.in.
2. Click on the eKYC option on the right side of the page.
3. After verifying the captcha code, enter the Aadhaar card number.
4. Click on the 'Search' option.
5. Enter the mobile number linked to Aadhaar.
6. Click on the 'Get OTP' option.
7. Enter the OTP in the required field.
8. Your e-KYC process is complete.
