Madhya Pradesh government efforts to promote pharma sector and dairy industry
Better Opportunities for Youth in the Pharmaceutical Industry

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav highlighted the vast employment opportunities in the pharmaceutical sector in Madhya Pradesh. He emphasized the need to promote the pharma industry, noting that the state is already among the leading regions in the country for pharmaceuticals.

CM Dr. Yadav stated that efforts to increase milk production should be intensified in the eastern forested regions of the state. The tribal communities in these districts have a long history of animal husbandry and milk production. The National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) will support the state by improving milk production, livestock quality, forage areas, and providing economic assistance to those engaged in dairy farming.

Better Opportunities for Youth in the Pharmaceutical Industry:

The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of equipping youth with technical skills to work in the pharmaceutical industry. He noted the potential for developing pharma clusters in Madhya Pradesh and called for efforts to provide affordable and high-quality medicines. In a discussion with members of the Indian Drug Manufacturers’ Association at the secretariat, Dr. Yadav said that the state government is making every effort to attract industries. This includes offering subsidies and providing land for establishing pharmaceutical industries.

Discussion on Expanding the Pharma Business in MP:

Dr. Yadav also reviewed the development of a biotech park and emphasized the need to promote the pharma sector. During the meeting, members suggested creating pollution-free zones for industries, developing phytomedicines, and establishing a new area near Meghnagar for pharmaceutical industries. There were extensive discussions on expanding the pharmacy business in Madhya Pradesh and deliberations on the MSME policy.

Guidance and Support for Dairy Development in Madhya Pradesh: The presence of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, a tripartite agreement was signed between the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) Chairman Mr. Meenesh Shah, and the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairy to provide consultation and support for dairy development in the state. The Principal Secretary of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development, Mr. Gulshan Bamra, was also present. Dr. Yadav discussed with Mr. Shah various measures to enhance milk production and improve the economic status of farmers and livestock owners in Madhya Pradesh. He expressed confidence that significant progress would be made in this sector with the guidance and support of the NDDB.
