Indifference of monsoon created drought conditions Monsoon's indifference has once again raised the possibility of drought in Jharkhand. The state has so far received 46.50 percent less rainfall than the average monsoon. The situation is such that in many districts and areas, the sowing of Kharif crop has not even started and due to increasing cracks in the fields, the hopes of the farmers have started to rise.
According to the Meteorological Department, rains are expected to start in most of the districts of the state from July 16. Even before this, the Meteorological Department had predicted good rains. But, somehow the earth has got wet due to sporadic showers. The fields are not prepared in such a way that sowing can be done.
