Monsoon rains have begun in most parts of the country, providing much-needed relief from the intense summer heat. However, some northern states are still experiencing scorching temperatures and have yet to see respite.

The southwestern states, particularly Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, heavy rainfall is occurring. Meanwhile, several other states continue to face severe heat. According to the Meteorological Department's forecast, heavy rainfall is expected in Maharashtra weather, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Karnataka, and Telangana on June 13.

Rainfall Expected in These Areas Today:

The weather forecast indicates that in the next 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall is likely in Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Chhattisgarh. Additionally, some parts of southern Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Rajasthan may experience light rain accompanied by lightning.

Cities Expecting Rain on June 13:

The IMD predicts that on June 13, Maharashtra cities such as Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Jalgaon, and Akola will experience moderate to heavy rainfall with thunderstorms. In Madhya Pradesh, cities including Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, Chhindwara, Balaghat, Seoni, and Shivpuri are likely to see light rain and lightning. 

In Chhattisgarh, cities like Raipur and Durg, and in Gujarat, cities such as Vadodara, Surat, Dwarka, and Bhavnagar are also expected to have moderate rainfall today. Kerala and Tamil Nadu will see light to moderate rainfall, with a heavy rain warning issued for June 16-17. Continuous rain has been observed in these areas over the past few days.

This monsoon season is crucial for agriculture, and the timely arrival of rains is expected to benefit the farmers greatly. However, the public is advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions during heavy rainfall, especially in regions with forecasted severe weather.
