MP Weather Update: Monsoon is active in Madhya Pradesh, with heavy rainfall in 12 districts and preparations underway to open dam gates
Heavy Rainfall Alert

According to the IMD Bhopal, heavy rainfall is expected across 25 districts of Madhya Pradesh over the next two to three days, from August 23rd to 26th. Continuous rainfall in various parts of the state has already led to rising water levels in key reservoirs such as Kolar, Bansagar, Bargi, Indira Sagar, Omkareshwar, Kaliyasot, Bhadbhada, and Kerwa. The heavy downpour on Tuesday further increased water levels, and if the rain continues, dam gates might need to be opened again.

The Madhya Pradesh Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rainfall alert for today, predicting intense showers in Indore, Ujjain weather, Ratlam, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Dhar, Barwani, Sagar, Raisen, Narmadapuram (Hoshangabad), and Betul. Additionally, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms is expected to continue in Bhopal, Jabalpur, Gwalior, and other districts of the state.
