Under this scheme, farmers engaged in Makhana cultivation are being provided with subsidies of up to 75%, which will strengthen their financial situation.

Benefits of Bihar Makhana Vikas Yojana:

Through this scheme, the government aims to empower poor farmers and provide financial assistance for Makhana cultivation.

1. Employment: Farmers in Bihar will receive employment opportunities through Makhana production under this scheme.
2. Women Empowerment: Women farmers are given a 30% participation under this scheme.
3. Increase in Production: The government aims to increase Makhana production from 16 quintals per hectare to 28 quintals per hectare, benefiting the farmers.
