Special Awareness Campaign for Livestock in Vidisha:

During the monsoon season, it is essential to focus on health safety for both humans and livestock. Following the directives of Collector Mr. Budhesh Kumar Vaidya, the Animal Husbandry Department is conducting a special awareness campaign to encourage livestock farmers to take proper care of their animals during this season. The department has indicated that increased humidity during this season negatively impacts livestock, reducing their immunity and making them more susceptible to diseases.

Special Care Tips for Livestock During the Monsoon Season:

  1. Keep animals in dry places: Ensure that there is adequate ventilation and sunlight.
  2. Maintain cleanliness: If animals are kept on concrete floors, spray disinfectant at least twice a week, morning and evening.
  3. Use mosquito nets: Protect animals from parasites by using mosquito nets in their enclosures. Consult local veterinarians for preventive measures and treatments.
  4. Regularly clean hooves: Ensure timely cleaning of the animals' hooves and schedule regular vaccinations.
