In the upcoming week, diverse weather patterns are expected to influence various regions across India. Madhya Pradesh anticipates light to moderate rainfall over the next five days, while isolated places in Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Sikkim may experience light rainfall on January 5th and 6th.

The Western Himalayan Region and Northwest India's plains are forecasted to witness light rainfall and snowfall on January 8th and 9th. Additionally, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Lakshadweep, and south Coastal Andhra Pradesh should brace for isolated heavy rainfall with thunderstorm and lightning from January 5th to 8th.

Visibility Challenges in North and Central India: As we move into the new year, dense to very dense fog conditions are expected in various pockets. Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh, and East Rajasthan may experience these conditions during January 5th to 7th, with subsequent isolated pockets enduring dense fog for the next 24 hours. West Uttar Pradesh and West Rajasthan should be prepared for foggy mornings on January 6th, followed by isolated pockets on January 7th and 8th. Moreover, fog is anticipated in East Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura from January 6th to 9th. Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Odisha are likely to experience dense fog on January 6th and 7th.

Severe Cold Days Loom in North and West India: Cold Day to Severe Cold Day conditions are expected to persist in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh-Delhi on January 5th and 6th, with Cold Day conditions prevailing on January 7th. East Rajasthan may experience these conditions on January 5th and in isolated pockets on January 6th. Some parts of West Rajasthan could also witness Cold Day to Severe Cold Day conditions on January 5th and in isolated pockets on January 6th.
