Heavy rains continue to batter northern India, prompting the Meteorological Department to issue weather forecasts for Himachal Pradesh and the capital, Delhi. Here a detailed look at the current weather situation:

Himachal Pradesh is currently experiencing severe rainfall, resulting in widespread destruction. Numerous areas in the state have been heavily affected by rainfall, leading to landslides and the closure of more than 100 roads. The IMD has issued an orange alert for moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms in various parts of the state on 10 August.

Additionally, the Meteorological Department has issued a flood warning for the next 24 hours in various districts including Shimla, Kullu, Kangra, Sirmaur, Kinnaur, Solan, and Mandi. Today, light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorms are expected in Dharamshala, Hamirpur, Sundernagar, and Una in Himachal Pradesh weather.

Delhi Weather Update: While many parts of the country are experiencing continuous rainfall, Delhi continues to see intermittent showers. Currently, heavy rain is not expected in Delhi and NCR regions. However, light rainfall with thunderstorms is likely today, 8 August. The maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to be 34 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 25 degrees Celsius. According to the weather department, moderate to heavy rain is expected in Delhi from 10 to 12 August.
