Weather today: Heavy rainfall alert issued for MP, UP, and Delhi
Delhi weather today

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for heavy rainfall in western Madhya Pradesh, while eastern Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand are under an orange alert from today, September 11. This weather activity is expected to persist until September 14, after which a slight reduction in rainfall is anticipated. The ongoing heavy rains are being caused by a depression and an upper-level trough. During this time, heavy downpours are expected in northern Madhya Pradesh, western Uttar Pradesh, eastern Haryana, and Uttarakhand.

Delhi weather today:

Delhi, along with its nearby regions, is forecasted to receive heavy rain starting today, September 11, for the next four days. Many parts of the capital are expected to witness significant rainfall today. The maximum temperature in Delhi is predicted to reach 32°C, with a minimum of 23°C.

Heavy Rain in Northern States:

The IMD has also predicted heavy rainfall in parts of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Haryana. This intense rain is linked to a depression interacting with an upper-level trough, which is expected to move northeast under the influence of the jet stream. As the system advances from western Uttar Pradesh towards Uttarakhand, these areas are likely to experience substantial rainfall.

Rainfall in Other Regions: Weather forecasts indicate moderate to heavy rainfall in Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Madhya Pradesh weather, and southern Uttar Pradesh over the next 36 to 48 hours. Additionally, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and northeastern states are expected to receive heavy rain during this period.
