Since the beginning of August, the monsoon has become fully active across most states of India, from North to South. Various regions, including the capital Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Bengal, and Assam, have been experiencing light to moderate rainfall, while other places have seen heavy rain activities. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy rainfall is expected today, 8 August, in West Bengal, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Arunachal Pradesh. Additionally, a yellow alert has been issued for Delhi weather today.
The IMD has forecasted heavy rainfall in Gujarat today. Over the past two days, many districts in Gujarat experienced relief due to rainfall. However, from today, 8 August, a heavy rain warning has been issued for the next three days.
The IMD has also warned of thunderstorms and lightning in Gujarat for the next three days. A heavy rain alert has been issued for Navsari, Valsad, Daman, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Bhavnagar, Bharuch, and Surat.

Important to note that several districts and coastal areas may experience strong winds and heavy rain conditions. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea and coastal areas for the next five days due to the rough weather.
