Delhi weather forecast: IMD warns of heavy rain in next two days
delhi weather update today

The monsoon has finally spread across the entire country. However, Delhi and its nearby areas have not yet received enough rainfall to provide complete relief from the summer heat. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), moderate rain is expected in the national capital and surrounding regions starting today, July 2. Here’s the weather forecast for the week.

Delhi Weather Update:

The IMD has issued a heavy rainfall warning for Delhi on July 2. There is also a possibility of thunderstorms, strong winds, and lightning. The heavy rain is expected to continue through July 3 in Delhi and nearby areas such as Gautam Buddha Nagar, Ghaziabad, Meerut, Chandigarh, and several other cities.

According to the weather forecast, residents might experience slight humidity, with the maximum temperature in Delhi predicted to be around 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum around 31 degrees Celsius today. There has already been a 2-degree drop in the average temperature, which is expected to decrease further due to the monsoon update.

Relief from Heat and Humidity: Residents of Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) can expect some relief from the persistent heat and humidity. The IMD suggests that significant rainfall is imminent in Delhi and its neighboring areas. The weather pattern in Delhi is gradually changing, signaling the arrival of the much-anticipated monsoon.

This change in weather will hopefully bring much-needed respite from the summer heat.
