Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has stated that the Himachal Pradesh government will consider providing tax exemptions to dairy producers and initiating new schemes to increase farmers' income in the upcoming budget.
The budget session of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly will be held from February 14 to 29. The state budget will be presented on February 17. While speaking with dairy producers in the state, he said that the government is encouraging agriculture as an industry to make farmers self-reliant. He said, "Since agriculture and dairy production play a significant role in boosting the rural economy, the state government is coming up with new schemes in the upcoming budget to increase farmers' income, the results of which will be evident in the next two years. He also mentioned that fundamental changes are being made in policies and regulations to ensure that the money reaches the farmers directly.
