Weather Update Today 15 March 2024: Heavy Weather Warning Issued for Several Regions of Eastern India, Know the Weather Forecast of Your Cities

March 15, 2024, The IMD has issued a heavy rainfall warning for several regions of eastern India, anticipating lightning, rain, hail, and strong gusts in the coming days. A long disturbance is forming in the troposphere between Gangetic West Bengal and the northern littoral Andhra Pradesh, passing through Odisha, which could bring significant rainfall changes to these areas. As a result, Jharkhand weather update, is anticipated to  witness light to moderate rain with lightning, strong winds, and  breezy conditions from March 15th to March 20th. moment, Gangetic West Bengal has a chance of rain along with hailstorms, lightning, strong winds (30- 40 km/ hour).   

Weather Forecast for 16 to 19 March 2024:

1. March 16th Gangetic West Bengal could see storms with hail and strong winds (up to 40- 50 km/ hour) in  insulated areas. There is a possibility of lightning and strong winds (30- 40 km/ hour) in eastern Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh, with a chance of lightning in Jharkhand and Odisha. 
2. March 17th There is a chance of storms with hail and strong winds (up to 30- 40 km/ hour) in insulated areas of eastern Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh. Lightning is  prognosticated in Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, and Odisha. 
3. March 18th insulated areas in eastern Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Jharkhand could  witness lightning, hail, and strong winds( 30- 40 km/ hour). There is also a possibility of lightning. 
4. March 19th There is a chance of lightning and strong winds (30- 40 km/ hour) in Odisha, eastern Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh. Lightning is anticipated in Jharkhand, Telangana, and northern  littoral Andhra Pradesh.  

Maximum Temperature Forecast Maximum temperatures in  numerous  corridors of south Peninsular India could be 2- 4 °C above normal. These conditions are anticipated to persist for the coming 4- 5 days.
