Aaj Ka Mausam: Heavy rains in Mumbai, 50 Flights cancelled, Trains affected, Today weather update
Pune Weather

Continuous torrential rains in Maharashtra have caused significant disruptions for many residents. In several areas, heavy rainfall has turned roads into rivers and flooded homes. Due to the severe weather conditions, many flights had to be cancelled at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, with several others being diverted. Approximately 50 flights were cancelled with immediate effect. In response to the worsening weather, the government has declared holidays for several schools.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts heavy rainfall to continue along Maharashtra's western coastal regions. This has compounded the challenges faced by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in managing the city's infrastructure. Authorities are advising residents to avoid coastal areas and take precautions when traveling.

Weather Today in Mumbai:

The weather department predicts moderate to heavy rainfall in Mumbai today. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 32°C, while the minimum temperature may drop to 27°C. The heavy rains are likely to cause further traffic disruptions and potential flooding in low-lying areas.

Pune Weather: Continuous rainfall is also affecting Pune, with moderate rainfall expected today. Temperatures are likely to range from a maximum of 29°C to a minimum of 22°C. Commuters are advised to plan their travel accordingly and be prepared for delays.

Goa Weather: Addition to Maharashtra, several flights at Goa Airport were cancelled yesterday due to low visibility caused by the heavy rain. The airport also experienced waterlogging. The persistent rain since the beginning of July has become a major challenge for residents and authorities alike.

Citizens are encouraged to stay updated with the latest weather alerts and take necessary precautions to stay safe during this monsoon season. Avoid unnecessary travel, especially to coastal and low-lying areas, and ensure safety measures are in place to deal with potential emergencies.
