Heavy Rains Forecasted Across Several States from 08 to 14 March 2024, Weather Forecast For Next 5 Days

New Delhi, 08 March 2024 The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall in various states from March 8 to March 14. According to the forecast, a new western disturbance, originating from the direction of northern Pakistan, is expected to cause significant weather changes in several regions.

Weather Forecast For Next 5 Days:

1. March 8 until March 9, Odisha, West Bengal, and Sikkim are likely to experience rainfall. Additionally, Arunachal Pradesh may witness moderate rainfall accompanied by snowfall.
2. On March 10, except for southern Rajasthan, northwestern plains of India are expected to encounter strong winds ranging from 25 to 35 km/h. Furthermore, nighttime rainfall is anticipated due to a western disturbance.
3. From March 11 to March 14, light to moderate rainfall and snowfall are forecasted for northern India, affecting regions including Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, and western Uttar Pradesh.

The Weather Department suggests that southern India may not witness significant weather changes during this period. However, the upcoming western disturbance/storm might adversely impact the crops of northern Indian farmers. These weather predictions urge residents and authorities in the affected regions to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to mitigate any potential risks associated with heavy rainfall and snowfall.
