In Mumbai, the capital city, torrential rains have caused significant disruptions. Many residential colonies and major markets are flooded, affecting residents and business owners alike. Local train services have been halted due to waterlogged tracks, and schools have been ordered to remain closed. In nearby Thane, roads have turned into rivers, and similar conditions are reported in Colaba, Santacruz, Worli, and Borivali.
Maharashtra is witnessing a relentless monsoon season, with continuous rainfall in major cities. Pune, Nagpur, Ahmednagar, Akola, Jalgaon, Aurangabad, and Satara are expected to receive moderate to heavy rainfall over the next five days.
