Continuous rainfall across various regions of the country has led to flood-like situations in some areas and severe impacts in others. The IMD has issued a heavy rainfall warning from North to South India. Let's look at the details:

Weather in West and Central India:

According to the weather department, widespread light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is expected in West and Central India over the next five days. Isolated extremely heavy rainfall is likely over Madhya Maharashtra and East Madhya Pradesh on August 2nd and 3rd, and over Konkan & Goa, West Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat on August 3rd. From August 2nd to 7th, Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and Gujarat region will experience heavy to very heavy rainfall. Similar conditions are expected in Madhya Pradesh from August 2nd to 4th, and in Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh on August 2nd and 3rd. Saurashtra & Kutch will see heavy rainfall on August 3rd. Additionally, heavy rainfall is expected in Marathwada on August 3rd and in Saurashtra & Kutch on August 4th.

Weather in Northwest India: Northwest India, widespread light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is expected over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Scattered to widespread rainfall is anticipated over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh-Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan throughout the week. Isolated very heavy rainfall is likely in Uttarakhand on August 2nd and 3rd, and in East Rajasthan from August 2nd to 4th. Heavy rainfall is expected in Jammu & Kashmir and Rajasthan from August 2nd to 6th, in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand from August 2nd to 8th, and in Uttar Pradesh on August 2nd, 3rd, 6th, 7th, and 8th. Punjab and Haryana-Chandigarh are also likely to experience heavy rainfall on August 2nd. Some places in Punjab experienced heavy rainfall yesterday.
