Weather Alert: Heavy Rainfall Predicted in Bihar and Jharkhand on July 21 and 22
Heavy rain expected in Bihar-Jharkhand over the next 48 hours

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in Bihar and Jharkhand on July 21 and 22. In Bihar, heavy rains are anticipated in Begusarai, Gaya, Chhapra, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Bokaro, and Rajgir. In Jharkhand, significant rainfall is expected in Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Deoghar, Rampur, and several neighboring regions. Over the past two days, Bihar has seen reduced rainfall, though initial showers had already caused rivers and streams to swell. Moderate rainfall was reported last night in Patna, Katihar, and Gaya.

High Winds Expected Along Odisha, West Bengal:

Due to monsoon rains, the Meteorological Department has warned of high winds along the coasts of Odisha, West Bengal, and Andhra Pradesh weather, as well as the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal. Winds are anticipated to blow at speeds of 40-50 kmph, with occasional gusts reaching up to 60 kmph.
Heavy Rainfall and Thunderstorms in Northeast India

The Meteorological Department forecasts widespread light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, over the next five days in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, and Northeast India. Heavy rainfall is expected in parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya from July 20 to 22.
