The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) announced on July 2nd that the southwest monsoon has spread across the entire country almost six days earlier than its typical schedule. The IMD reported that the monsoon has advanced into the remaining parts of Rajasthan, Haryana, and Punjab weather, covering the whole country by July 8th, which is six days earlier than normal. According to the IMD, July is expected to see above-average rainfall across the country, which could lead to flooding in several western Himalayan states and parts of central India due to heavy rains.

Heavy Rains Predicted Across Multiple Regions in Early July:

The latest weather forecast indicates the possibility of heavy rainfall across various regions in India in the coming days. Isolated very heavy rainfall may cause local flooding and disruptions in multiple states. Here’s the latest monsoon update:

From July 3rd to July 7th, isolated heavy rainfall is expected in Uttarakhand. Punjab and Haryana are expected to experience the same weather conditions on July 3rd. West Uttar Pradesh is likely to see heavy rain on July 6th and 7th, while East Uttar Pradesh may be affected from July 5th to 7th.

Bihar is forecasted to receive very heavy rainfall on July 3rd. The northeastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya will face heavy rains on July 3rd and 4th.

The western and southern regions, isolated very heavy rainfall is predicted over Goa and Madhya Maharashtra on July 6th and 7th. The Gujarat region will experience this weather on July 3rd, and Coastal Karnataka is expected to see heavy rainfall from July 5th to 7th.

Uttarakhand already recorded heavy rainfall at isolated places, indicating the onset of this weather pattern. Residents in the affected areas are advised to stay updated with local weather reports and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
