The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts cloudy skies with light to moderate rainfall in Delhi today, July 5. The maximum temperature is expected to be 34 degrees Celsius, and the minimum around 27 degrees Celsius. This pattern is set to continue for the next six days, with the possibility of light to heavy rain during this period. Neighboring regions can also expect moderate rain and strong winds.

Rainfall Expected in Other States:

The IMD has also predicted heavy rainfall across several states in North-West and Central India today, July 5. Uttar Pradesh cities, including Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Ballia, Sitapur, and Gorakhpur, are likely to see heavy rain with strong winds. Additionally, parts of Rajasthan, Bihar, Maharashtra weather, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry may experience heavy rain and lightning.

Monsoon Progress Across India:

Typically, the monsoon spreads across the country by July 8. However, this year, it is advancing more rapidly. The eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya, among others, continue to experience heavy rainfall. IMD's analysis reveals a 32% increase in rainfall from the end of June to the beginning of July compared to the same period last year.

In summary, Delhi and several other states are expected to see significant rainfall over the coming days. The monsoon season is progressing faster than usual, bringing increased rainfall across various regions.
