The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted significant rainfall activity in the coming days across West and Central India. On September 3rd, isolated areas in Gujarat are likely to experience extremely heavy rainfall. This intense rainfall is expected to continue on the 3rd and 4th of September, affecting parts of West Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat.
The IMD has issued a heavy rainfall alert for several districts in Madhya Pradesh today. Heavy rainfall is expected in Dewas, Khargone, Harda, Betul, and Burhanpur. Additionally, the weather department has indicated that Bhopal is unlikely to see any sunshine until September 5th, with thunderstorms and rain continuing during this period. Heavy rainfall is also expected in nearly 22 districts, including Raisen, Indore, Ujjain weather, Ratlam, Shajapur, Khandwa, Dhar, and Sehore. Meanwhile, light to moderate rainfall is likely in 28 other districts, including Gwalior, Rewa, Satna, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Sagar, and Damoh.
The IMD has also forecasted heavy rainfall in Maharashtra, particularly in Madhya Maharashtra, over the next seven days. Heavy rainfall is likely between September 3rd and 5th in West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Saurashtra, and Kutch. Furthermore, from September 5th to 9th, Chhattisgarh, and the Konkan and Goa regions are expected to receive heavy rainfall. The Gujarat region is likely to continue experiencing significant rainfall until September 6th.
