The Meteorological Department has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in certain parts of Arunachal Pradesh starting today. Significant rainfall is also anticipated in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh-Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Bihar, Odisha, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Konkan and Goa, and Madhya Maharashtra.
Thunderstorms: Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are likely in some parts of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh weather today.
Strong winds with speeds ranging from 35 to 45 kmph, gusting up to 55 kmph, are expected in the northeastern and northwestern Arabian Sea, central and southern Arabian Sea, and along the Gujarat coast. Similar conditions are anticipated near the Gulf of Mannar, the Bay of Bengal, and the Sri Lankan coast.
Wind speeds in the west-central and east-central Arabian Sea could reach 45 to 55 kmph, with gusts up to 65 kmph in certain areas, including the coasts of Somalia, Yemen, and Oman.
Advisory for Fishermen: Fishermen are advised to avoid venturing into the affected regions of the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal due to the persistent threat of rough weather and strong winds.

Monsoon Activity: According to the IMD, the monsoon trough at sea level is currently passing through Ganganagar, Churu, Satna, Daltonganj, Digha, and extending southeastwards to the east-central Bay of Bengal. A cyclonic circulation extending up to 7.6 km above sea level is present over west Jharkhand and neighboring areas, with a southwestward tilt.
