The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather forecast for July 9, detailing various weather conditions expected across the country. Here's a summary of what to expect:
Extremely Heavy Rainfall: Arunachal Pradesh is likely to experience extremely heavy rainfall in isolated places today.
Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in isolated places over Assam & Meghalaya, Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and Coastal Karnataka.

Heavy Rainfall:

Heavy rainfall is more likely in isolated places across East Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh weather, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Bihar, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Marathwada, Gujarat, Kerala, Mahe, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Interior Karnataka.

Thunderstorms: Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds (30-40 kmph) are expected in Telangana. Similar conditions are likely in Himachal Pradesh, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Bihar, Jharkhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Rayalaseema, and North Interior Karnataka.

Squally Weather: Wind speeds of 35-45 kmph, gusting to 55 kmph, are expected over the east-central and west-central Arabian Sea, northern parts of the southwest Arabian Sea, and the Gulf of Mannar. Similar conditions are likely off the Sri Lanka coast, southwest and southeast Bay of Bengal, central Bay of Bengal, and northwest Bay of Bengal. Along the Somalia coast, northern parts of the southwest Arabian Sea, west-central Arabian Sea, and south Oman coast, wind speeds are expected to be 45-55 kmph, gusting to 65 kmph.
Monsoon Trough: The monsoon trough at sea level passes through Jaisalmer, Chittorgarh, Raisen, Mandla, Raipur, Kalingapatnam, and extends southeastwards to the central Bay of Bengal, reaching up to 3.1 km above sea level.

Recent Rainfall: In the past 24 hours, isolated places in Konkan & Goa experienced heavy to very heavy rainfall, while Coastal Karnataka also saw heavy rainfall.
