Weather today: Heavy rainfall alert has been issued for Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Rajasthan

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected today, September 7, in various parts of East Rajasthan, Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and the Gujarat region. Additionally, heavy rainfall is likely in isolated areas of Saurashtra & Kutch, Assam & Meghalaya, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Southwest Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand weather, and Odisha.

Flash Flood Risk (Until 05:30 IST on September 8):

The IMD has also forecast a potential risk of flash floods over the next two days in parts of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, East Rajasthan, and Gujarat. Over the next 24 hours, the risk of flash floods due to rainfall remains in several areas, including Himachal Pradesh (Shimla, Sirmaur, and Solan districts), Uttarakhand (Almora, Bageshwar, Chamoli, Champawat, Dehradun, Nainital, Pauri Garhwal, Pithoragarh, and Tehri Garhwal districts), East Rajasthan (Banswara, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, and Udaipur districts), and Gujarat (Aravalli and Sabar Kantha districts).

Several regions recorded significant rainfall yesterday, with East Rajasthan receiving the highest amounts.
