Weather Update: Heavy rainfall alert for several states, including Delhi and Rajasthan

Rainfall is sweeping across much of the country, with the meteorological department forecasting scattered showers throughout the week in Eastern and Western Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi weather.

Delhi Weather Update:

As of August 17th, Delhi is expected to experience overcast skies with light rain. Recent days have seen consistent light drizzle across various areas of Delhi NCR. The forecast suggests light to moderate rainfall with occasional thunder and lightning will continue until August 23rd. Despite the persistent rain, there has been little change in temperatures. Currently, Delhi maximum temperatures range between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperatures hover around 25 to 27 degrees Celsius.

Heavy Rainfall in Northern India:

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for heavy rainfall in several northern regions this week:

• Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad: These areas are likely to experience heavy rain on August 19th and 20th.
• Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand: Heavy rainfall is forecasted from August 17th to 20th.
• Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi: Heavy rain is expected on August 20th.
• Western Uttar Pradesh: Heavy rainfall is anticipated from August 18th to 22nd.
• Eastern Uttar Pradesh: Continuous heavy rain is predicted from August 17th to 22nd.
• Western Rajasthan: Heavy rain is expected on August 17th.
