Residents of Uttar Pradesh are starting to get some respite from the sweltering humidity. With the onset of the Sawan month beginning today, July 22, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in most parts of the state. Additionally, a heavy rainfall alert has been issued for Western Uttar Pradesh.
The IMD has issued alerts for the following districts in Western UP for today, July 22: Meerut, Bulandshahr, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Ghaziabad weather, Hapur, Baghpat, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Rampur, Amroha, Sambhal, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Mathura, Aligarh, Hathras, Kasganj, Auraiya, and Farrukhabad. The department has also predicted continuous light to moderate rainfall in Northern India, including Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Delhi.
Lucknow weather: The sky in Lucknow will be cloudy with a chance of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 35°C and 29°C, respectively.
Agra: Agra will experience humid weather with intermittent light showers potentially turning into heavy rain. The maximum temperature is expected to be 39°C, while the minimum will be around 29°C.
Kanpur: From July 22 to 27, Kanpur is likely to see light to moderate rainfall with no significant changes in temperature. The maximum temperature will range from 37°C to 38°C, and the minimum temperature will be between 27°C and 28°C.

Varanasi: On July 22, Varanasi is expected to have light rainfall, with the maximum temperature at 37°C and the minimum at 28°C. Heavy rainfall is anticipated in the next two to three days.
