Most states in India are currently experiencing light to moderate rainfall. However, this persistent rain has disrupted daily life in some regions, impacting the population. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for heavy rainfall in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Assam between August 23 and August 25.
The national capital, Delhi, intermittent rainfall continues. The IMD has predicted light rain with occasional thunderstorms on August 23. From August 24 to August 26, moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms is expected in the city. According to the weather department, Delhi's maximum and minimum temperatures today are likely to be around 36°C and 27°C, respectively. Throughout the week, the maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to range between 32°C and 36°C, while the minimum temperature may hover around 25°C to 27°C.
According to the IMD forecast, in the next 24 hours, eastern Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh weather, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Vidarbha, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Goa, and Lakshadweep may experience light to moderate rain, with some areas likely to witness heavy showers. Additionally, moderate to heavy rainfall alerts have been issued for parts of Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sikkim, Assam, West Bengal, and Jharkhand.
Light to moderate rainfall is also expected in northeastern India, including Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Marathwada today. Meanwhile, light rain conditions are likely to persist in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Saurashtra, Kutch, interior Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.
